Jordan
RSDD-H surveying is effective in identifying the main producing field in Jordan and adjacent new prospects.
Jordan is a country with under-explored hydrocarbon potential. Its main proven play fairway is in the east of the country adjacent to the Iraqi and Saudi Arabian borders. Here, the Greater Risha Gasfield District occurs in an arid plateau and valley terrain.
The main producing Risha Field displays within an elongate RSDD-H anomalous trend measuring some 50kms N-S by approximately 15-20kms E-W (Image I). ThisGreater Risha"Initial Exploration Focus Area" or "IEFA" extends into Iraq. It is surrounded by (pale tone) Low Prospectivity Zones to the west in Jordan and to the east in Iraq.
Importantly, this Greater Risha IEFAcontains a number of untested core features in addition to the central producing sub-district and its western satellite. These appear highly prospective on RSDD-H and it is predicted that they will contain significant additional reserves of gas.
By example, the southern sub-district looks appealing and Jordan and Iraq can expect to share its reserves in the future.Similarly, there appears to be good potential for additional field extension reserves to the immediate NW and SW of the producing central field sub-district.
Image II of the central Risha sub-district (blue inset of Image I) shows rather nicely the mix of gas and dry wells in their "on" versus "off-anomaly" siting. It also shows the NW satellite area that awaits drilling.
